What should i look for or do??
What should i back up before attempting do do this?
Should i just uninstall X4 first? (I shouldn't need it after X5 is installed)

whenever I get a new version of VideoStudio I just install it - never do anything with the previous versions - never un-install them - I have had four different versions on one computer all working perfectly.

I have never had a problem of any sort when installing a new version when older versions are also present.

VS X5 will install on a separate folder and will not affect the old version, so you can keep multiple version of videostudio on one computer. I actually have 5 versions on my home computer. :)

It appears that you are referring to the registry incentive.. you should have the download link in an email that will be sent to the email address that you use to register your VS X5.

Thanks for the reply I have it sorted now,and yes It was the Register incentive the link would not work correctly it kept redirecting me to http://www.corel.com/corel/category.jsp ... toreKey=us
I got a link from Corel that worked, Its funny really it was the same link?? I tried my e-mail link after & that then worked??

As far as the install goes yes all installed and seems fine I haven't tried it all yet but all the add-ons are there!
Thanks again for the advice, & the reassurance
Pete

I installed X5 Ultimate a few days ago. I still have X4 on my computer and I had no problems with installing X5. However I'm disappointed with X5. I made a videoslide show which lasted 29 minutes and was 1.9Gb. It took 4hours, 15minutes and 8 seconds to burn a DVD!!! I might go back to X4!

Did you first produce a DVD-compatible mpeg-2 of your slideshow before going into the burning module? And did you use any of the more complicated menu options once you were in the burning module?

I went into 'share' and went throught the nornmal procedure I have used in X4, ie, select DVD and then go through to the last section to burn the DVD,. I don't use anything in the 'complicated' edit section. I don't know how to convert to mpeg 2, so I didn't do that? I will be re doing the slideshow in X4 today if I get a chance, so it will be intersting to see how long it takes to burn a DVD?
