I don't understand about the Video folder you opened up and about deleting the NewBlue entries that re-populated themselves. What "Video" folder is that? What NewBlue entires? The NewBlue entries that re-populated themselves, are they files?
I've never had to do anything except rename the ULVFT.Dat file and then start up VideoStudio and wait for the DAT file to be rebuilt. There are a few other files that are rebuilt automatically. With X4, I've had to use the Task Manager to kill VideoStudio because after the new ULVFT.DAT file is rebuilt, VideoStudio hangs up. But then after I start VideoStudio again, the FX library contains the right number of entries.
