Hi all,
I am using VS Pro X4 and finding that no matter what video file size, when I apply mute, the playback on preview screen seems to bottleneck and become jagged. When I remove mute, it returns to normal.
I would have thought that - other than my GPU - the rest of the system has more than enough grunt to handle HD video. Video spec example is below.
PAL (25 fps)
MPEG files
24 bits, 1920 x 1080, 25 fps
Upper Field First
(HDMV-PAL), 16:9
H.264 Video
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 16800 kbps)
Audio data rate: 384 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 3/2(L,C,R,SL,SR)
From my very limited tech knowledge I can only assume the GPU is bottlnecking. I cannot recall the memory size but worst case scenario is 512MB and best case is 1GB GDDR3.
Any thoughts?
Thanks for considering...
