Installing PaintShop Pro X4 Ultimate

Postby Shanester on Tue Apr 17, 2012 8:12 am

Greetings,

Do I have to remove PaintShop Photo Pro X3, or will installing X4 uninstall it automatically?

I don't want to have X3 and X4 both installed at the same time.

Thanks,
Shane.

Then you will need to remove X3 as the X4 version installs as a completely separate package and won't affect previous versions already installed.

You can have both version installed on your computer. But if you like to free up disc space, then you can uninstall the PSP X3 either via the Windows Control Panel or by following these steps - http://corel.force.com/index/articles/e ... oto-Pro-X3

There is an advantage in having both installed in that you can use one to do a screen capture to show a problem . or tutorial image in the other. I have PSP 8,X2, X3 and X4 all installed on the same computer. Hard disk memory is a minimal worry nowdays. And sometimes something works better in an earlier version of the program and as well some tutorials on the net use an earlier version and it is helpful to see how it works there first and follow the tutorial in that earlier version.
