the worse Corel Video Studio X5 ever
hi:
I am Corel Video Studio user since a long years ( about 6~7 years ) as home user
every time Corel Corp. release a new version I test it directly & start comparing.
but this new one make me write to you what exactly I found

I recored from " Progdvb" a TS Movie
size was 1.509 GB it is 1.05 hour in media player

I put it in CVS X4(Corel Video Studio X4) trim it in certain points (as start & end point to be 40.03 minutes only)
Convert it by " Creat Video file - MPEG optimizer"
I got a file it was 942 MB
with the same TS Quality video also Supporting 6.19 screens
the time of Converting was: 3.35 Minutes

then I put it in CVS X5(Corel Video Studio X5) trim it in same points (as start & end point so it is same time show)
Convert it by " Creat Video file - MPEG optimizer"
I got a file so the Size was 2.092 GB
with fogginess plur fine shaking view with no supporting 9.16 screen !
the time of Converting was: 41.21 Minutes !!(there was less than 4 minutes)
Why?

also the " Corel Guide splash screen" how can I disable it in X5 ? must I see it every time I lunch the program?

what can we say? unsuccessful ?
I hope with all thank your efforts to make something in SP adds

the lonly good thing is the restore botton.

:)

To get rid of splash screen, click the box next to "Do no display on startup."

Please put the new video file you created in X4 into the VideoStudio timeline and RIGHT click on it - from the pop up choose 'properties' - then please copy and post ALL of those properties in your next post - then do exactly the same with the new file you created in X5 and post those properties as well.

We may then be able to work towards a solution to your problem.

Please also note this is a "User To Use Web Board" - you are not talking to Corel here - just users like yourself.

I have an empty space Corel Guide without this chek box
so why?
do i have to install C++ Netframework 4.0 or 4.5 or flash Player 9-10-11.... I made all of them but another screen I have
any way but for the idea to copy properties from file to file ... it is long way to do good work. there is better way in other programs
I use Magix Pro edit 16 ... when I want to Export as MPEG ext. there is from file when I choose any exist file it directly read and apply the exist file information ( aspect ratio. video size audio...everything)
Magix also give me the size of movie before starting converting.. in corel VS no exbected file size...
my speech about Magix not mean I like it more than Corel VS. really I like to find everything in my PC by Corel ( even someday OS corel )
I told that to improve the product best level. I feel the incoming SP will fire the world .. lol

Hi

Have you registered the Corel X5 program, I do not think that the Guide Splash Screen displays fully until you have registered. Then it may display the option to "Do not Display on Start Up"
--------------------------
Provide Video Properties by using Screen Capture
Right click a clip and select properties, this opens a properties window
Using your keyboard Shift+PrtSc will copy the details to your clipboard.

open an Image Editor and paste, then save the image as Jpeg.

Upload to the post using the "upload Attachments" option
