New Version of AfterShot Pro on its way....

Postby Jeff Stephens on Mon Apr 09, 2012 7:35 pm

Hey guys,

We've been working away on our first update to AfterShot Pro, and I'm thrilled to say that we'll be launching this pretty soon. We've fixed several issues that have been found in our test and through your feedback, and we're adding support for 20 new RAW camera formats. We've also added some additional capabilities to the plugin SDK to allow for interesting, new plugins.

So, just wanted to let ya'll know where we are and that we'll have something ready for you in the near future.

Cheers,
Jeff

I look forward to RAW support for Canon S100 and Panasonic FZ-150, neither of which I'm able to import into ASP now.

Thanks Jeff; good to hear.

I just wonder - not sure if this is the proper place to ask -
the update/upgrade policy for the ASP users.
A pointer to a published explanation would be much appreciated.
(I wonder, for example, how many updates will be free of charge and/or for how long).
I have tried to find this info but failed; may well be my fault...

All I can say right now is that this update is, or course, free.

Wow that's great news! I was getting a little discouraged when my S100 raw files didn't work. Is there a complete changelog anywhere? Does "near future" mean this week? Keep up the good work. You guys rock!

Jeff, will your devs be able to compile a true 64-bit linux .deb in the update? That would be wonderful. Thanks.

Can't wait to get the new version! I hope the Fuji X100 will be supported now, lots of RAWs are waiting to be imported. :)

Are there any Sigma cameras supported by ASP now, and if not is there any chance for a support of Sigma RAWs in the future?

It'll still be 32-bit.

S100 and X100 are both on the list. Sigma isn't.

I'm so glad that we get direct responses from Corel on this board! That certainly separates you from other companies :)

Do you have an ETA for the new version? Is there a changelog somewhere that we can get excited about? Thanks!

I have bought the Corel AfterShot Pro in the meantime of the Canon Powershot G1X.

I hope i will, now, access to my G1X's RAW files in ASP.

Thank you!
