Thank you to the Corel team for creating this fantastic photo manager and RAW processor. I have recently imported my large collection of images into ASP and begun adding keywords to them. Please let me know if I am simply misunderstanding how to use the keywords feature, but I believe I have discovered a bug. I want to select all of the images in a folder (Canon RAW CR2 and JPGs) and apply a common keyword to all of them. The folder has UNIX 770 permissions. I do the following:
- go to Thumbnail view
- make sure Multi-Image View is off
- CTRL+A or SHIFT+Click to select the desired images
- type in a comma-separated list in the Keywords box on the right column
- hit Enter
This works just fine and I see the "Save Settings" progress bar appear. This is confirmed by the console output, e.g.
- Code: Select all
84101.213: "Applying 5 keyword changes with settings on 1 layers to 48 items, named: Add/Remove MetaData"
However, if even one of the selected images has one of the keywords already, nothing happens when I hit Enter (and nothing is printed to the console). If I type a new keyword (that is not already present on any of the selected images), it adds it to all of them and prints to the console as expected.
Any ideas on how I can debug this further and be able to add keywords to entire groups of images, or an entire folder?
On a possibly-related note, it seems that I can only write keywords to the currently-active image (the one with the white box around it) if Multi-Image View is enabled, even if multiple images are selected.
Thanks, Andrew
