EDIT DONE WITH PROPERTIES OF THE OUTPUT CLIPS IN ALL 5 TRIES:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you for help me .... just please read my first post here in this topic on side 3
I´ve uploaded an example clip there
I´ve got two problems with clips:
1st: The quality of the video is not good
2nd: It seems to get a lower framerate if something is changed to the clip, i.e. filters, fx, text, etc.
The clip was done with a sony camcorder hdr-cx 130 in highest quality mode 1080i
ORIGINAL SONY CLIP:
File: *m2ts
File-Format: PAL HDMW
Videotype: H.264-Video, Upper Field First
24 Bit, 1920 x 1080, 16:9
Framerate: 25,000 Pic/sec
Videorate: variable (max. 21999kbps)
Audio: Dolby Digital
48.000 Hz
Bitrate: 256 kbps
The rendering issue with the lower framerate I solved and described them on page 4, but the picture quality itself lost quality ... lots of artefacts there and this is the only problem I have with the programm....
Maybe you can take a look at my example clip ??
I can describe you some results I´ve got what happens if I put the original *m2ts file into my project.
1st try:
----------
- Original file Sony *m2ts put into project, NO changes were made to the clip
- Output is set to: "Same as first Clip"
Result: everything is fine like described above, no artefacts, framerate is smooth, but it's *mpg video now
Output-File properties:
File: *mpg
File Format: PAL HDMV
Videotype: H.264-Video, Upper Field First
24-Bit, 1920 x 1080, 16:9
Framerate: 25,000 Pic/Sec
Videorate: variable (max. 21999kbps)
Audio: Dolby Digital
48.000 Hz
Bitrate: 256 kbps
2nd try:
----------
- Original SONY *m2ts file put into the project, add some text to the clip
- Output is : "Same as first clip"
Result: no artefacts, picture is smooth, BUT ONLY at the non-touched parts of the video. When the text appears the framerate seems to go down
and there are still artefacts in the clip. When the text disappears, everything is smooth again and no artefacts after the end of the text. Also the video is again *mpg format
Output-File properties:
File: *mpg
File Format: PAL HDMV
Videotype: H.264-Video, Upper Field First
24-Bit, 1920 x 1080, 16:9
Framerate: 25,000 Pic/Sec
Videorate: variable (max. 21999kbps)
Audio: Dolby Digital
48.000 Hz
Bitrate: 256 kbps
3rd try:
----------
- I put the good rendered result *mpg clip from 1st try above into the timeline and add some text to the clip
- Output is: "Same as first clip"
Result: The same as it is like in the 2nd try - not good !
Output-File properties:
File: *mpg
File Format: PAL HDMV
Videotype: H.264-Video, Upper Field First
24-Bit, 1920 x 1080, 16:9
Framerate: 25,000 Pic/Sec
Videorate: variable (max. 21999kbps)
Audio: Dolby Digital
48.000 Hz
Bitrate: 256 kbps
4th try:
----------
- Now I put the original Sony file again into the project *m2ts, No changes to the video
- Output is: Corel Videostudio Preset BluRay 1920x1080
- Result: Perfect smooth framerates, but small artefacts and bad colours through the complete clip - output is *m2ts file
Output-File properties:
File: *.m2t
File Format: PAL HDMV
Videotype: MPEG-2 Video, Upper Filed First
24-Bit, 1920 x 1080, 6:9
Framerate: 25.000Pic/Sec
Videorate: Varianle (Max. 35000kbps)
Audio: Dolby Digital
48.000 Hz
Bitrate: 384 kbps
5th try:
----------
- Now I put the output BluRay *m2ts file from the 4th try into the project + add some text
- Output is: Corel Videostudio Preset BluRay 1920x1080
- Result: There are still the artefacts through the complete clip - no wonder, the artefacts are in the source clip, too. But these artefacts are not more worse than the artefacts in the source clip.
BUT, what still confuses me, cos you would not expect this is the fact, that there are NO more lower framerates when the text appears. The video is smooth like the original clip. So only there´s the problem with the artefacts left. I cannot explain this why the lower framerates now disappearing.
Output-File properties:
File: *.m2t
File Format: PAL HDMV
Videotype: MPEG-2 Video, Upper Filed First
24-Bit, 1920 x 1080, 6:9
Framerate: 25.000Pic/Sec
Videorate: Varianle (Max. 35000kbps)
Audio: Dolby Digital
48.000 Hz
Bitrate: 384 kbps
It doesn´t matter if you have hardware acceleration enabled or not, or if smart render is enabled, the results are always the same. So the best result is the one from the 5th try I can get, which means:
Original clip - render to BluRay without touching it, than import again into Corel Videostudio, then edit all the things Videostudio allows you to do and render it again to BluRay. The only problem are the artefacts and that´s the reason why I try to use en external encoder to reach a smooth picture with no artefacts.
It annoys me - Videostudio can render in high quality, but only with untouched material. Touched material ends up either in lower picture quality or lower framerates. So you can solve one problem, but not both problems
