Plug-in installation help.

Postby Charles+OK on Fri Feb 24, 2012 12:19 am

I'm having no luck installing Wavelet Denoise and Wavelet Sharpen. The instructions on at aftershotpro.com indicate launching the ".afzplug" file or using the ASP install plug-in function. I cannot find such anyway in the downloads no does ASP. What am I doing wrong? I'm running Vista.
Thanks,
Charles

Not all. Some plugin authors haven't been given access to this facility.

I did that. ASP doesn't see a ".afzplug" file at either my original download location or the default Corel application directory where I moved the unpacked download. Wavelet sharpen downloads as "WaveletSharpen_ALL_T34.zip. Inside I can't find any ".afzplug" files. The same is true for Denoise and the vignetting "gift." Do I need to be in the administrative log-in? I started to check angle, but as I'd installed ASP from a "user" log-in, ASP there was still in uninstalled trial download status. I wasn't sure what a second configuration would do.

Throw away your web browser.

afzplug files are ZIP files. The browser tries to be intelligent and renames them.
Not really smart.

Yes, the files fhould have .afzplug extensions. To install, I simply double-click the file; ASP loads up and installs the plugin. If I already have it installed, ASP asks if I want to upgrade and shows the currently-installed version and the new file version. It then asks if I wnat to restart now or later.

If I manually rename them, it should work?
