Grad Filter needed

Postby tundraquad on Mon Feb 13, 2012 1:34 pm

Just looking at the B5 thread "Gradfilter Pro - please port to ASP" as well as the developer web page http://digitalarts.mindsocket.com.au/bi ... dgrad.html , The future of this filter is not very promising.
Can the developer get a little support from someone else or even from Corel? This plugin is not a toy! It's really a "must have" plugin.
So, can we please help a little bit Roger Barnes? It would be a petty to see this filter dying.

Thanks.

Hi!

Yes, please do consider this kind of filter important enough to support it companywise, Corel and development team!
Looking at the number of requests, it's rather obvious that there is a demand for it.

Personally, I don't mind bying GradPro a third time (B4, B5, now ASP) - but it seems as it will take time before the GradPro plugin possibly can appear, as Mr Barnes unfortunately has announced on his web site.

Please Corel Corp, backed with your more than 100 million active users in more than 75 countries around the world (http://www.corel.com/corel/pages/index.jsp?pgid=800127), assign some (minor) resources so that the developers in Texas can get this well-founded request satified! (and of course, also the fixing of more urgent show-stoppers mentioned here and there in this still completely unorganised forum)

Cheers,

Does Vigne has Colour ND capability?
Sorry but I doesn't really want to install stuff unless I really need it. Thx for the info.

My mistake! ... I should have taken the time to read the details about Vigne. (I obvioulsy didn't do my home work!).
Since I had no interset to a vignetting plug-in, I never grabbed it when I registered ASP.

Thx thufor for the info!

Just to keep you up-to-date: Roger tweeted on 10 Feb:
Seeking GradFilter Pro users on Linux who have upgraded to AfterShot to test a new version.

So let's hope things develop well.

Vigne runs too late, so it cannot recover details that would appear only by scaling down Exposure: it needs such an option, like Bez, to be an effective graduated filter replacement.

The Pro-Version was one of my all time favorites...

I'm learning to live without it but if it came back, I'd pay for it again...

The lack of this plugin is the only keeping me from replacing bibble pro with AfterShot Pro.

If the way getting the money from users is the problem perhaps Corel Corp. can handle that for Roger Barnes.

Me too, I can't start using it without the Grad Filter plugin. Can we have some status update please?
