John, I just discovered that http://www.AfterShotPro.com resolves to the AfterShotPro page on Corel's site. If Corel would enrich that page with links to all AfterShot related content, that would be great. BTW, your other suggestions were very good!

i.e.

Holiday;2011;Paris

and for the "best of" just change it into
Holiday;2011;Paris;best of

so if you filter for Holiday;2011;Paris you see all of them, if you filter for Holiday;2011;Paris;best of you get your favorites

or just use Holiday;2011;Paris and mark the best of with a color, or as pick, or whatever you like

The Keyword Manager has a bug. It does not allow more than 2 levels of keywords. The left pane allows you to create more than 2 levels, but then when you try to move a keyword that has multiple sub-levels only the top level and one other level appear in the right pane. Interestingly, even the ASP manual has a screenshot of the Keyword Manager that shows the bug:

In the screenshot it shows that in the left pane Travel has multiple levels under it, but in the right pane it has none.

In addition, I find Star Ratings work very well (and they are visible externally for other programs)
I would use them to 'fine tune' your best selection - easily changing from 5 to 4 stars or whatever as you review your album
without any changes to the keywords.

I don't know if I am wrong about this (I hope you will give me the answer how to fix), but when I give Star Ratings in ASP, they are not visible in PSP.
However, when I give Star Ratings in PSP, they are visible in ASP. Strange.

Furthermore on my wish list:
- Dual monitor support.
- Possibility to define more colours and to add a label with the colours (f.e. Red="Fixed", Green="Not fixed", Blue="HDR-series", etc.)
- Possibility to use or only see the ASP colour labels in PSP.
- Purple fringe removing tool.

Lion full screen mode does a bit more than that. First of all, puts the application in its own desktop.

Nothing earth shaking, though. But it shouldn't take much more to add than the time it takes to write this mail (plus a couple hours of debugging, of course )

I second this... with the "advanced" option too. I dump all my files into a giant folder, creating a new one each month. The files don't always go into the folder the same day I took them. With the advanced import in Bibble, I could have it organize by date, one "folder" per date of when the photo was taken (not when I dumped the card to my hard drive). And it was nice and flat, not showing all the sub-folders.

A licence that allows me to purchase one copy of AfterShot Pro and use it on both my Linux and Windows XP partitions on my dual boot system.

EDIT: I just purchased the product (I had been using the free trials) and it may be that I can do this after all!

1. Using a mouse to slide selectors is ok, but would be better if you could double click to make the mouse stick, rather than the current system of holding the mouse down until it sticks.

2. Size of Batch window top left needs to be able to adjust in length to allow more batch file types.

3. Filesize might be a handy inclusion to custom metadata manager.

4. If you inadvertantly hit a shortcut key, there is no way of undoing the move unless you retrace your step carefully to see what you did. If you randomly hit more keys, the problem exacerbates by adding, or taking more features from the desktop. I realise that having a good knowledge of keyboard shortcuts would be an advantage.

Once the manager is closed you select the set and the keywords appear below, when you assign the keyword to an image the complete hierarchy, as you created it in the LH manager pane is used

Hmm, I wonder if you are using a different version of ASP than me that doesn't have the bug? I am using 1.0.0.39. So, you are saying that in the Keyword Manager in the left pane you created a hierarchy such as the following:

People
..Friends
....Bill
....Cathy

You then moved it to the right pane and got this:

People
..Friends

Then you close the Keyword Manager, select an image, select People in the Keyword Sets and you see the following:

People
..Friends
....Bill
....Cathy

You can then select Cathy as the keyword for the photo?
