Doubleclick on image doesn't zoom to 100% anymore

Postby Fraenzken on Mon Jan 16, 2012 2:21 am

When I first installed ASP (coming from Bibble 5) I came across a long-missed feature: When doubleclicking on an opened picture, it would enlarge to 100 percent centered at the position of the mouse cursor. I was happy to have this handy feature at last. Until I imported some pictures into the catalogue: All of a sudden, the zoom-feature was gone. Double-clicking on an opened pic doesn't do anything anymore (and, yes, I have selected the hand cursor). Even closing the catalogues doesn't change a thing. I haven't tried to delete them yet - maybe that works. Still: clearly a bug; I hope it'll get fixed soon.

Cheers

Hi Frank

I am completely new to ASP, in fact using the trial version, first day today……
When I double click an image it does enlarge to 100% and centre on the curser position.
So I don’t understand why you are having problems
I played about importing images to the catalogue but could still double click ok

I'm running into this as well. Since the toolbar is locked way down in the corner now instead of being able to be floated to a more convenient location, this would be really nice to have working. For now, the scroll wheel does zooming, so that is a semi-convenient workaround.

I've never hat the effect so far.
Are you using standard mice or tablets?

And of course instead of using the absurd long path of the mouse movement to the bottom, a hotkey can also be used.

Standard mouse. MS Wireless.

I just was reading andysalay's new post regarding shortcuts. I'll steal that setup & try it. I've already been relearning the shortcuts & using them more.

Ok one hope for an explanation thwarted....

I strongly suggest Bernd's layout and reading why he made it that way. (I use a variant of it)

Thanks for the hints. But a shortcut doesn't really help: It doesn't zoom to the mouse position, but to the image center (so does using the mouse wheel, b.t.w.).
I've got a Logitech wireless mouse. Pretty much standard, I think; nothing fancy.

I think I found out why. There is a padlock icon down in the right corner. Click on it so it is marked as on.

So this looks like a fault 40*, not a bug.

*) Fault 40 - cause of problem is about 40cm from the keyboard ;)

Lock zoom at image switch?
It is always on on my systems. That's why I never ran into the problem.

EDIT: I do not think this is a pilot error, but a bug, so I've reported it.

Brillant! Thanx a lot!

Edit: Funnily the zoom remains locked even if the button is deactivated. And even more funnily the Icon changes to "locked" if you unlock the botton and move the mousecursor to another part of the screen. The only thing this button seems to change is the "zoom via doubleclick"-behaviour. Clearly a bug, but it shouldn't be hard to fix it.

I'll look for that & give it a try.

Re: "Fault 40"... I'll have to add that to my collection. My favorite is the PICNIC error (Problem In Chair, Not In Computer).

icon has a fault ... it always shows locked ( except as a transient image of an unlocked padlock ) whether on or off

Now , I always have trouble with this sort of icon -- should it show locked when unlocked because you must click it to perform that action ... or show unlocked because that is the state !
Which ever .. the current is not right ?

Well...that was easy! Just need to make sure the lock background is highlighted. Working for me now.
