Movie Factory 7SE and don't want smart titles

Postby cdoughertycd on Fri Nov 11, 2011 8:54 am

MF 7SE forces me to use smart titles. I want to use my own jpeg for title background. I end up having to delete smart title text boxes by moving them out of the field or in some cases I can get a "hide object" but not all the time. Is there a blank title background I can use to put my own jpegs on?

Thanks

Well - - I am not sure how 'special' your SE (Special Edition) version is - but in the standard version after you have loaded your videos into the timeline you click "Next" - this takes you to the next window where you select your menu template - at the top of the selection previews on the left are two tabs and a drop down . The drop down should allow you to select alternative types of pre-installed menus such as thumbnails or text. The two tabs are marked 'Gallery' and 'Edit' - by default you are on gallery so click on 'Edit' - you should now be presented with options to change the background music - or change the background picture - plus a whole host of other modifications. If you use the 'customise' option and make changes you will then get the option (under the preview window) to save that menu as a template for future use - or as a base for further changes.

Brian, in my MF 7SE my "add template menu" in Customize is grayed out, but my issue is prior to that, to build the template without all the smart template stuff I don't like, using my own jpg, I have to move or hide the smart template designs, just wishing there was a selection that did not include smart designs. It forces me to select something from the Gallery.

I'm having a problem burning it anyway due to just recent issue that comes up when the burn is almost done, error says "unspecified error". I have this question in another post. My DirectX and video card drivers are up to date, anyway ...maybe I should get MF 7, like buy it. MF 7SE was offered free to Pro X3 users when the program for burning with it wasn't working.
