Hi Jeff
Instant Projects or Movie Wizard
The Movie Wizard has been removed from the program I suppose this is in the interest of progress.
The wizard made a complete project using a template to create the start and endings. The body of the project being your video files, however in most cases these required some editing and you were taken back to the edit timelines to complete the project. Well all that has gone, last seen with VS 12 (X2)
The Instant Project templates do similar in that they create the start or endings to the project, you add the main video content. The result being similar to the wizard.
I first add my video and images to the timeline, edit the clips, most of the time some editing is required.
Then select Instant Project to apply a start.
Unfortunately the Instant Project use a “place-holder” which has to be replaced with your own images, this process can take a while, but who said video editing was quick.
To replace a "place holder" Drag a clip from the library, hover over the place-holder, press Ctrl on the keyboard and drop the clip.
Installing Video Studio.
Contents file
I don’t have the disc version but assume it to be similar to the download in that the program is provided in two parts, the Contents file being run to complete the installation by adding additional library, templates, auto sound to the program.
This should also install further Instant Project Templates.
Can you confirm that you have installed the “contents disc/file”
After installation the main edit library should contain a lot of clips.
Bonus file.
There should also be a Bonus file that contains free samples, these being installed manually, that is copied to the hard drive and imported to the appropriate library.
