The original files came from my Sony digital still camera. They are in .MP4 format and are 1280x720 @ 29.97fps. I transferred them to my computer from memory card in a USB reader. After creating a project in VideoStudio Pro X3, I loaded all the clips into the timeline, added chapter markers, and saved the project as a .VSP, I exported the project as a video file using the Create Video File in the Share tab, saving it in the same folder as the clips and .VSP file. The setting I used is Blu-ray NTSC MPEG2 (1920x1080).The resulting file is 12.8 GB in size and in the .mpg format. After installing MovieFactory 7 SE, I created a New project and chose the Blu-ray option. Here are the Project settings:
Project Type: Blu-ray Standard
MPEG files
24 bits, 1920 x 1080, 29.97 fps
Upper Field First
(HDMV-NTSC), 16:9
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 25000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 384 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)
"Do not convert compliant MPEG files" is checked and the next 5 boxes are unchecked. The Clip playback option is set to "Continue to play the next clip"
I used the "Auto add chapters" option as I noticed that the chapters weren't transferred from VSP Pro X3.
I only changed the Title in the Main Menu option under the Menu & Preview tab.
The burner I'm using is the Pioneer BDR-206BK internal drive and the media is Kodak BD-R 4x 25GB.
The problem I'm having occurs in the Output tab:
As far as the burn settings go, Create to Disc and Archive images of slideshows is checked. Under Burning Options, the drive is selected to the E:/ for the Pioneer drive, Speed is set at Maximum, Project file is checked, and Buffer underrun protection is checked. After the Burn button is clicked, it will stop at 33% complete at "Prepare output content" and will display the error "Corel DVD MovieFactory has stopped working" after minute or two. I checked the BD-R disc and it is still blank. I hope this is sufficient information to work on...
