Using the Video Filters in Media Studio ver 8 Video Editor, LensFlare, is there any way to enlarge the Options dialog screen (original / preview) so that the crosshair can be more easily set on a small object?
As it is, the object I need the LensFlare to work upon is so small that I can hardly make this work. The object is moving and I need to track it along the screen for quite a while. I have no idea why the options box is so small. My monitor is large.
Is there a way to enlarge this without using a second monitor?
And would the options box even be enlarged if I used a second monitor for it?

Unfortunately there is not. Closing the filter dialog window and then trying to use the Effects Manager really does not help much. The only benefit would be that you can expand the timeline in the Effects Manager for adding Keyframes. However you still must use the small preview window inside the Effects Manger to move the placement cross...

Best bet is to use a dualhead graphics card and connect to a TV. By configuring your settings for both the graphic card and MSP correctly, one can preview, set filters with precise positioning, color correction, etc... in fullscreen on the TV.

My video card does have another digital output where I could connect another monitor. Are you saying Video Editor supports another monitor and that this might work for me?

Yes. You will need to configure your graphic's card for multiple displays. Also, in your graphic's card control panel there should be a place to set preview for secondary device as fullscreen or theatre mode depending on card manufacturer.
Setting in MSP7 that applies to MSP8 too.

When applying filters and viewing them as fullscreen you need to click on the monitor with wrench button under preview window. Preview Playback Option dialog will open and you need to change External playback device to Dual Head Device.
