ThirdParty Commercial Software for Intervideo-Ulead products

Postby sjj1805 on Thu Jun 14, 2007 2:44 am

Third Party Software that can be used with Intervideo-Ulead Products.

We have received several posts since the inception of this user forum asking where extra material can be obtained in order to enhance an Intervideo-Ulead product.

Rule 5 of the forum rules states:
5. No direct spamming or blatant advertising. This forum is not a place for you to earn money through your referrals.

To meet the needs of our forum members without flouting the above rule, I have created this post which for purposes of forum integrity will remain locked.

Before providing any links I must point out that these links are only provided for the purpose of convenience to our members. Neither Intervideo-Ulead, the Forum Management or myself endorse any of the products listed and I/We have no associations with the vendors of any software listed below. I/We do not guarantee the quality of any of these products or their compatability with the Intervideo-Ulead products they are designed to work with. If there is a known problem with a particular product then this will of course be mentioned. The abscence of any known problems does not imply that problems do not exist, only that they have not come to the knowledge of our forum members.

Any Member who does find a compatability problem with any listed product is invited to post that problem in the appropriate forum and also bring it to my attention by way of a PM so that this thread can where necessary be updated.

Members are invited to send me a PM with details of any links thought to be appropriate for inclusion in this thread. Before doing so you must refer to rule 5 above, any requests which appear to flout rule 5 will be rejected or in case of doubt will be discussed by the Forum Moderators and appointed Senior Forum Members. Any decisions made to reject a request for an entry to be made in this thread will be final.

The Forum has no vested financial interests in any products listed and will not enter into any negotiations between forum members and third party vendors. Entries in this thread will be made under categorised headings and will contain simple links to where the third party software may be found. It will not include any recommendations (other than known compatibility issues) and no prices will be quoted.

Members purchasing third party software that is listed in this thread do so at their own risk and should make whatever research is feasible before making any decision to purchase an item.

Members are reminded that they must not attempt to advertise goods on this forum for their own private gain and any member who is found to be contravening the forum rules regarding spamming or advertising for gain will face immediate expulsion from the forum and the offending post(s) will be deleted.

I would also like to draw our members attention to the following link
Free Stuff for use with Ulead Products where you might find what you are looking for somewhat cheaper! I also encourage members to submit to me via PM any links that they consider are worthy of inclusion in the links to FREE items.

Utilities and plugins for video-editing

Heroglyph (VideoStudio/MediaStudio)
Moving Parts (VideoStudio/MediaStudio)
Note: I could get Moving Parts to work with earlier versions of VideoStudio but so far haven't been able to get it to work with VideoStudio11+
Daz 3D (VideoStudio/MediaStudio)
Bluff Titler (VideoStudio/MediaStudio)
FRAPS (VideoStudio/MediaStudio) used to record a video of what's on your screen such as a video game
Camtasia Studio / Snag It Screen Capture another two screen recorders.
MenuEdit (VideoStudio/MovieFactory/DVD Workshop) - Tweak those DVD Menus you have just created.
Digital Juice High quality, royalty free music, sound fx, clipart, motion backgrounds, lower thirds, etc., etc.

Ormond Williams wrote:The Painting Creator feature in VS X2 is a good innovation, but perhaps you guys haven't seen VisiSketch Pro? It was originally designed for use with slideshows of stills made with Photodex ProShow, but obviously can be used with other software. Should be able to be used with VS too.

There are some samples that show the potential.

It's a little more advanced and should be very useful. I have played with it a little a few months ago, but haven't created anything worthwhile yet.
Highlighter Pro looks great too!

Lots Cheap Stuff

dbz2000 wrote:Not sure if all of these items are listed in the "Free Stuff" section of the forum; but I thought this was worth a look-see. If they are already there, forgive the redundancy and just ignore this post. Hope you find things helpful and useful here: :D

At first this was posted in our links to FREE stuff but after further investigation it was found that the site is slightly mis-leading. To clear things up what this site offers are downloads of evaluation software. I downloaded one of the files to find out what was involved and found that although it is fully functional it will place a "watermark" on any saved files. To remove the watermark you have to purchase a registration.

There are two forms of registration available
AVS4U FAQ web page wrote:What's the difference between the UNLIMITED and 1-YEAR subscription types?

In case you buy the UNLIMITED subscription, you will be able to use the installed programs without any limitations, download and install all the updates for the programs from the AVS4YOU site and even install new programs that appear for your computer LIFETIME.
You can subscribe right now for $99 $69 only. Click here to do it!
Note, that it's a time limited offer, valid up to October 31, 2007.

If you buy the 1-YEAR subscription, you will be able to do the same as having the UNLIMITED subscription, that is use the installed programs without any limitations, download and install all the updates for the programs from the AVS4YOU site and even install new programs that appear, but during 1-year period only.

You can subscribe right now for $39 $29 only. Click here to do it!
Note, that it's a time limited offer, valid up to October 31, 2007.

It also appears that if you purchase the registration this will allow you to download and use all of their products:
AVS4U FAQ web page wrote:I bought the subscription for AVS4YOU software. Is it true that I can download and use any software from www.avs4you.com web site on my computer?

Yes, that is true. You can download and use any programs from www.avs4you.com over any period for which you have purchased a subscription without any restrictions.

~Rolling Shutter (wobble & skew damage)

I don't work for NewBlue, nor have I tried the product, but the samples on their site do look interesting.
