I see ASP an an enhancement of PSP's relatively useless RAW import functions, but the programs really don't have the same goals in mind or design. I still don't see why I should love ASP...

You didn't mention my second point below:

If you take PSP as JASC left it, Corel have added new aspects / features, two of which I don't use as they are flawed if not broken.

The first is Raw Conversion. ASP enhances the PSP user experience with this alone.
The second is the (dis)organizer / Manage Mode. ASP enhances the PSP user experience by providing a workflow where you can manage and edit multiple photos.

I am really loving ASP to process a day's shoot of photos. Particularly the ability to Rate, Label and Flag photos and then to Select from these.
With Editing I am just learning how to Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V Settings for similar shots and then fine-tune and when I have finished (whether or not I call PSP as an External Editor) I just press 'F' to File my finished version, 'J' to output a Batch of JPEGs, and 'P' to Print some.

I like to use the latest version of any software, whether it is PSP 1.01 thru X% or ASP v6 thru to the latest alpha version.
I've changed my sig now.
Just fill whatever number you like into the '%' box
