Heal tool! (as in gimp)

Postby lundbech on Tue Jun 12, 2012 11:01 am

Is there any way to achieve in AfterShotPro the same effects as the Gimp heal tool?

In AfterShotPro we have clone and heal tool, but I want something in between the two, which, like Gimp's heal tool, clones the texture of the source but preserves all or some of the target area's color and contrast and other characteristics. Any way to do that?

(or maybe I'm just missing something?)

That functionality is not there.
But, you can of course used color and luminance adjustments also in the heal clone layer which helps quite a bit. Unfortunately there is only one heal/clone layer, so those adjustments apply to the complete layer.

cheers

Thanks. Exactly. Because adjustments apply to the whole layer (which can be useful in other cases) this is hardly an option.

I miss the clone from Bibble that used to clone the colour but leave the texture
It was excellent for subduing bright coloured clothing or waste bins that were in an awkward place
Perhaps if we asked very nicely we could get that one back .. and yours at the same time ! ;-)
from the Bibble stable - mostly OLY+W7
