AfterShot Pro update policy

Postby jakkul on Mon May 07, 2012 9:45 pm

Hi!

What is the update policy for the AfterShotPro product?

If I buy the software, say, on the 31st of May, how long will I be entitled to download fixes and updates?

Best regards!

Essentially, until a full new version is released (i.e. for ASP, version 2.0). And even then, if there are any further patches offered for the current version, you will be able to download them too.

I think it's a good question that may benefit from a small amount of rewording.

How long after a new version is released will Corel provide fixes and updates for the current version?

It may be a good question, but I doubt you will like the answer. Judging from my long experience with a variety of Corel products, once a new version is released, there are no updates/patches for earlier versions.

It is encouraging to know that the last patch for PSP X3 was released very shortly before the announcement of PSP X4. I find that encouraging as that meant that Corel did provide some support until the new version was available and didn't just save it for the next version.
