ASP and DNG files

Postby MikeFromMesa on Fri Feb 17, 2012 3:06 pm

I assume this has probably been asked before but I could not find the actual question in my search. Does ASP support dng files?

When I try to open a specific file (File -> Open File) ASP shows me the dng files in the folder dialog box and there is a specific selection for dng files. But when I try to actually open one of the files I am show it does not open. Further the ASP "filmstrip", when I select a folder with dng files in it, does not show any of them. So I am puzzled.

If ASP does not support dng files why is there a selection under File -> Open File for dng files? And if it does support dng files why can I not open a dng file and why do they not display in the "filmstrip"? Or am I missing some basic setting?

I have checked the user guide but cannot even find "dng" in it.

You need to improve your search skills....

AS supports only DNGs straight from cameras, not Adobe generated DNGs.

You need to improve your search skills....

Anything is possible, but I loaded the AfterShot Pro User's Guide in my pdf reader and did a search for "dng". Nothing showed up and I got the message that "No matches were found". It is hard to see what else I could have done to find references in the User's Guide. I suppose I could actually read it ...

I can easily believe that. Figures ... And thanks.

I was referring to the forum which was implied in the way you worded your question.
