Linux: poor UI performance

Sorry, OpenGL is much slower for me than raster and I'm running a very powerful computer (i7 3770k @ 4.6GHz, 2 x Nvidia GTX 480 SLI, 16GB DDR3 2133MHz). Cropping is very laggy with OpenGL whereas raster is super fast. Perhaps the fact that I'm running 3 screens with Xinerama enabled has something to do with it?

Must be Nvidia driver or Nvidia/Qt issue then because I have i7 3770k and use the Intel built-in graphics and both raster and OpenGL work fast and nice. Dual monitor here (1920x1200 x2).

To put it mildly. Nvidia sucks...
Silly me wanted a fast laptop. Only available with the Nvidia Optimus setup. It is workable but with lots of warts.
Using the current beta driver is highly recommended.
