I purchased also LR on last black Friday (because I thought that Bibble won't be released any more), but all the time I prefer Bibble, now Aftershot. I like its speed, plugins, GUI and output quality of output.

- Non destructive use of plugins
- Available for all three OS's
- Its speed

The top reason for me buying Bibble and then the upgrade to ASP is Linux support. If it wasn't of this, I probably would still be looking for a commercial software supported on Linux. I wasn't happy with open source programs I tried.

Plugins is another great thing.

Scalable performance (more cpu, more performance).

Linux Support please don't ever drop that...in fact incorporate the speed an linux support that you have aquired into your other photo and video editing programs as well. I'd like to consider PSP for my linux work.

Recursive directory image viewing. I have a structure of 2011/01 2011/02 2011/03...etc I could click on 2011 and view all the photos within that year....yeah I like that feature.

BUT, what I really would like to see from Corel is Camera Tether support. I had the same 5.0 version from Bibble, but they did not get to Camera Tether support implementation so I could never get to use the application for studio shoots. I continued to use the older Bibble 4.0 version was great at tethering cameras. Otherwise I had to move to Apple Aperture to get built-in Camera Tether support.

Just ran my first batch of work through AfterShot Pro trial, here's what I 'liked' about the process:

* Linux support
* Colourspace is handled in a logical way
* Work on the filesystem without importing/ingesting
* Batch settings: Resize long/short, and output sharpening
* The toolset in 'Standard' is well focused on the common, useful operations
* The 'Blacks' and 'Fill light' tool: no need to mess around with curves

What I really like in Aftershot Pro:
- All inherited great Bibble features, like Linux and Mac support (it works without any problems on the latest Ubuntu Unity GUI)
- Using the mouse wheel to zoom in and out
