How/where to download COOL3D production studio.....

Postby liamkennedy on Tue Oct 07, 2008 10:48 pm

I bet this might be common request (although my searching did not find specifically what I was looking for)...

The usual thing has happend... the media I created as a backup for my download (back in Jul 2003) is now faulty. I need to re-install.

My email to Corel/Ulead about this - just resulted in a suggestion I come here for support.

I have my serial number so I can re-install... just need the c3ds1_esd.exe file to get started.

I have emailed Element 5 to see if they can also help... not received a reply yet.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Contacting Element 5 is the usual route. You did the smart thing by backing up the download, but it would seem a second backup would have been a good idea. Who knew?

Is that backup on a CD ROM? If so, there's a program called ISO Buster that may be able to recover some data. Maybe...

The CD-ROM was damaged when I moved offices a few weeks ago.... repair is not an option unfortunately... but... now you have me thinking I may have it tucked away on another backup I did...

Thanks.

Element 5 emailed me a new download link. Thank you Element 5!! Might this be set as a "Sticky" post to show others how this situation can be resolved?

Thank you.

In your case Element 5 was able to resolve this for you, because you purchased the product through them. However for those that made a purchase within the last 2 yrs, they could not. Corel does not use Element 5 for their ESD sales.

Very glad that Element 5 responded appropriately. :) :)
