Output examples

Postby talented on Fri Jul 04, 2008 11:51 pm

Unfortunately, support for this interesting software has gone south, but I thought it would be interesting to post some examples of what can be done with Cool 3D and Cool 3DPS.....so, here is one..

It's called "The Protest" - it just doesn't work out well for the little guy...

Also, a question: What would one want to consider purchasing (software) that is as good as Cool 3DPS, easy to use with excellent output - that is being supported and updated? I doubt that there is anything out there as cheap as Cool, but let's say price is not necessarily the primary issue.

That's a lot of criteria to meet..:)

Actually I'm not familiar with one that actually meets those specs. There are several available, just do a google search. Most have a much steeper learning curve. One such example is the free, open source program called Blender. A very powerful, and good 3D program, especially for the price free. The actual cost is in the learning curve.

I moved the example that was posted above, so here is another one - obviously no other poster is interested in this type of activity. It's really sad that this software is going south with no updates and no support - it's a cool and easy way to create stuff.

I was finally able to create a 'smiley' in production, along with a Rock On hand....

Pretty cool! :D

Yes, COOL 3D 3.5 and Production Studio are both pretty good tools for the price. It's too bad Corel hasn't the (insert your choice of wording here) to keep supporting some great products. Ulead should have run the other way when Intervideo came knocking...

I've managed a few neat little creations myself, but what I've done is still far short of what I've seen done with this software. With some time and patience, and practice, some very nice graphics can be had!

Thanks, Viking - I've been to your site and like your stuff.

It's so true that "time and patience, along with a little practice" can produce some amazing results - at least amazing to me! I would add "imagination" as coming up with ideas and going through the 'build' phase takes a lot of imagination, but part of the reward is that the entire process forces one to "think" through the known options and occasionally something pops up during the process that reveals an unknown option.

By the way, I'd like to have the "viking helmet" that you have posted on your site in a format that can be used within Cool 3DPS, would that be possible or is it only in gif format?

Anyway, here's one of my better efforts - the disco floor 'build' was an interesting project.

Actually, I've been sort of obsessing on 3DPS, so here are three more...

Now, two have dark themes, but it's not for real - just trying stuff out....

I'm surprised that Ulead doesn't spin off this software to someone that would be interested in updating and supporting - actually, it's worth more money but probably needs to be re-marketed.

Thanks - most of my work has been moved, so only one is now showing above. If anyone wants to see what I've done with 3D production, go to http://awake1.deviantart.com/
all images were created with 3d production.....
