wrong url

PAL image size -- Post is
Page 1 http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?t=36601
Page 2
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... c&start=15
------------
Forum header
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewforum.php ... 675171e1b9
and
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewforum.php ... f09a552331
take me to the same place, that is the forum index header (if that is its name) So 2 different urls are taking me to the same place

Any of which still does not answer the question how come that” Pal Image size” was given a wrong url of 248 in the 1st place when it should have been
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?p=189245#189245 even if 248 has been deleted.

And how does http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?t=36601 and
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?p=189245#189245 reach the same post ?

Moved to the appropriate forum

Kenneth,

The only answer we can provide is that it is yet another quirk with this antiquated PHPBB 2 software used for the web board. Somethings just happen. A partial answer would be if your able to understand the PHP language, you could see in some of your examples the differences.

A questionmark ? in PHP means GET. So if you see in a link ?t, would indicate GET title, or GET topic. There's some other paths located in your link examples that can completely change what data it retrieves, and how it is displayed. SID is a re-direct.

Finally as to the main subject title of your inquiry, Email being sent by the web board has been hit and miss for a long time. So do not be surprised if you don't get email notifications for posts, PMs, or if and when you do, the links contained in them may not be correct.

I go for the simpler answer.
Someone created a post or reply. You got an email to let you know.
The said "someone" or a moderator deleted the post before you had chance to view it.
