Artistic Effect > Old Newspaper

Postby TooLoose on Thu May 09, 2013 5:46 pm

I have been a PSP user since v.7 and in the earlier versions, 7 and 8 for sure, the artistic effect "Old Newspaper" creates a different result than it does with the new versions. The more recent versions turn the image into something that looks like an old newspaper, very uniform in tone and shade. The earlier versions messed with the colors some, turning greens to red and created some really interesting color shifts.

Here are a few examples of the effect:

Does anybody know how I can achieve these same affects in more recent versions? I am using X2 and X4 right now.

Thanks.

In X4, i think you might want to look into Effects - Photo Effects - Time Machine.

Effects...Photo Effects...Retro Lab gives you a lot of control over your desired effect.
