Every time I insert a USB stick or CD or DVD which contains image files I get a popup window asking me if I want to download those files.
I know that I can disable this annoying window by running MSCONFIG and then selecting STARTUP and then unselecting CorelIOMonitor and Corel Photo Downloader but is there another way of disabling it (as I really prefer not to change STARTUP.

In PSP X3 you'd click File> Preferences> General Program Preferences> Photo Downloader tab and uncheck everything. Probably similar in X2.

You can also go to START > ALL PROGRAMS > PAINTSHOP PRO X3 > COREL PHOTO DOWNLOADER.
Once the COREL PHOTO DOWNLOADER DEFAULT SETTING screen is open, remove the checkmark on the LOAD COREL PHOTO DOWLOADER WHEN MY COMPUTER STARTS UP and SHOW COREL PHOTO DOWNLOADER ICON IN THE SYSTEM TRAY then click OK. You can also remove all the checkmark that you see on the screen then click on OK.
