Batch creation of tjumbnail images

Postby rab on Mon Jun 04, 2012 8:13 pm

I have visual and manual handicaps so I am not good at searching. Thanks for your consideration.

I have about 1.000 files in .jpg and would like to create a thumbnail for each also in .jpg width 800 variable length adding a t prefix to the original name for the thumb name.

Can PSP do this in a batch process?

Thanks
rab

Yes, PSP supports batch process. If you have not tried PSP yet, you can download the full working trial version at http://pnoy.me/coreltrials

paintshop pro would not be my first choice for batch creating thumbnails. There are many free alternatives that are dedicated to the job.

At least not yet, hopefully they'll address this some day or a decent script will be made to handle these requirements. But until then software dedicated to it is a very nice way to go.

Gary Barton wrote a script that handles this just like the original poster asked about called Resize to Limit and it works well in the Batch Process.

The script works fine in PSPX4.
