Note this appears to fix crashing on startup, but may not allow you to open any video files.
Try removing one .vio file at a time, starting with the uvmpeg1.vio file, then the uvavi.vio, etc. Try opening GIF Animator after each .vio is removed. See if you can determine which causes the crash.
Be sure not to actually delete the files, just move them to your desktop or some other place you can easily find them later.
