Ask about Audio in VS X5

Postby khoanvm on Fri Jul 13, 2012 4:29 pm

Hi everyone,

Please help me with this problem. When I split audio and then create the sound file, that file and the audio in project also lost.

I can add audio file normally but when I mix many clips, I just can hear sound whenever I choose the clip only. If I choose the whole project, the sound will be lost although the background sound still exist.

When I replace X5 by X4, there is no problem. But I prefer X5, please help me :?

Many thanks!

Can I just clarify what you are doing ?

first you split the audio - so this gives you sound in one of the audio tracks - but no sound in the video - then you say you create a sound file - how are you doing that ?

After you create a sound file , is the original sound still in the audio track ? - if not why not - at what point does it disappear ?

when you play the project is there sound file in the audio track and it is that which is not playing ?

I'm sorry for rambling.

First case, I split audio and create sound file. There is no sound in the file I have create and the sound in the hold project disappear.
Second case, I don't spli audio but when I combine many clip together, sound can be listened by each clip. But when I choose whole project, sound disappear too.

Please help me. I have tried both of this case on my friend computer and it's ok...

Hi

What are the properties of the video files you are using.

Right click a clip in the timeline and select properties, what are they?

If you wish, copy (Alt+PrtSc) and paste to an image editor, create a Jpeg and attach to the post.

That explains why there is no sound, if you have not made any editing, you can just close the project without saving then just reload the video file again.

It could be a codec issue, that is why providing the properties of the video will help us determine what really is going on. Just in case here are some of the codecs that you may want to install.
