"Test Before Burning" Not Working in X4 Pro

Postby MysticNitekatt on Thu Jun 21, 2012 4:38 am

When I select "Test Before Burning" it doesn't test, but goes straight to burning (I burn at 4.0 speed)

Also, while burning the detailed progress display continues to say "Video/Audio Multiplexing" through the entire process until closing the disc.

I've installed both current patches as well.

So what is wrong?

Did it actually burn something on the disc?

It's suppose to simulate the actual rendering and burning of your project, but not actually burn anything on the disc. To me, that's a waste of time. You would be better off by burning the disc contents to a folder. Then you would know that the rendering succeeded and actually have something to show for it.

Yes, it burned the disc with no problem as far as I can tell.

It just isn't testing before burning or showing proper status on the detailed progress display.

Been using Ulead/Corel software for years and prefer testing before burning feature.

I am in complete agreement with Kingston: testing before a burn is a total waste of time. It really doesn't tell you very much.

You're missing the point - this function isn't working when it should be.

Now,anyone have any ideas why it's not working properly?

Nobody here knows why it's not working. Since you found the problem, you must report it to Corel through formal channels.
