Well here s the whole nitty gritty of it. After complicated procedures I got contacted by someone in the know at Corel about the whole issue and this is it: : : :: Corel VS PRO 15 does tag Sony 3D video wrong. And the reason is that VS PRO 15 CANT create 3D files!!!! It can only create SIMULATED 3D file!!!. SO it locks 3D files as multiview video coding rather than multiview image. That way only one set of the image from the two lenses is used by VS 15. Then, SHARING/CREATE video file offers you the possibility of 3D SIMULATION in a variety of format. However the Samsung 3d Blu Ray DvD player s USB port does not support any of the VS 15 listed 3D format (does not support m2ts formats). So the only alternative is to create a mpeg4 file and in the option window select 3D simulator , side by side, and enter a value in DEPTH (between 1-99). You will get a full HD (1920x1080 16:9) with SIMULATED 3D. SO throw away your 3D Sony cam, any HD cam will do. If you want to see the 3D video you took with your 3D camera the only alternative is to connect it directly to your 3D TV using the supplied HDMI cable.
So Corel telling you VS 15 will create 3D popping out of your TV is false. And telling you not to use editing filters because it will cancell your 3D video and you ll onlly get 2D is also false. I am pretty well ticked off about the whole issue. Oh, and by the way, you don t even have to create simulated 3D files. Use the simulation setting on your 3D TV !!!!
