Locating VS9 Files

Postby pjensen12 on Mon Jun 20, 2005 9:18 pm

Before I start a project in VS7 or VS8, I create a working file and use it exclusively. When I'm totally finished and have successfully burned my DVD, I delete the entire working file. This returns my available hard drive space to the pre-project number of gigs.

HOWEVER, I just completed my First DVD project using VS9, and deleted the entire working file as usual. Instead of ending up with the pre-project number of gigs on my hard drive, I have 6 gigs unaccounted for. In other words, I should now have 36 gigs free, but I only have 30.

Does VS9 Create a file someplace that I am unaware of??? Are there file extensions that I can search for to find it? I've searched the folders in VS9 Program Files and in the VS9 "my documents" file and found nothing. Since I've never had this problem with VS7 or VS8, I'm at a loss!

Thanks in advance for any help!
