And the free Smartsounds are therefore not to download.

Auto music and smartsounds needs to be installed on your computer.
If it is already installed, then you may want to rebuild the smartsounds database
You can do that by going to the AUTOMUSIC tab > SMARTSOUNDS QUICKTRACKS > ABOUT TAB> click on the REBUILD SMARTSOUND DATABASE.
